为了使农历年的长度与公历年接近

古人采用增加闰月的方法

即在19个农历年中加入7个闰月

有闰月的那一年有13个月

全年一般是384天或385天，叫作闰年

这样一来

19个农历年和19个公历年

长度几乎相等

如何确定闰月？

至于闰月具体安置在哪一个月

这和二十四节气中的“中气”有关

二十四节气

由12个节气和12个中气组成

月首叫“节气”，月中叫“中气”

两者相间排列

加闰月的规则是每个月中

凡含有中气的算正常月份

不含中气的就算上一个月的闰月

由于农历癸卯兔年天数较多

这个农历年出现了两个立春

“双春年”
